You can't get bargains anywhere outside London, surely ? The rest of the world is just open fields, if I'm not mistaken?

Discounts are not bargains, though. C'mon crypto, get a bargain perspective from the real poor folks.

a guy in MD about a year ago sold his Smashing Pumpkin Rocket CD single for about $5, so i jumped on it (incidentally it's actual value is near $200, and considered about as rare as the Pennyroyal Tea CD Single which i paid $200 for about 7 years ago)
in the last 2 weeks got two more items from my holy grails list, Half Japanese's 1/2 Gentlemen, Not Beasts for $88 (i am thinking a bargain, cause i expected it go upwards of 50% higher, and only one who bid on it) the real Half Jap steal though was find a copy of Charmed Life for $40, and most people are asking $80 and upwards |

I remember scoring the "Pennyroyal Tea" single for under $10 like ten years ago. Who knows what happened to it.

I got a very dusty boombox for £1 the other day. The radio is fucked so you can get amazing static sounds out of it, it's like a theremin with a mind of it's own. |

Found a pound of fairly good coffee for under 5 bucks the other day. Spent 9 bucks on a 4-pak of Flying Dog Double Dog pale ale, though (sounds expensive, but at 11.5 ABV and loads of flavor, this really may be a bargain after all).
But then also picked up a loaf of 100% whole grain bread for under 1.50.

The other day I stumbled into a second-hand record shop down my road (usually this shop doesn't seem to sell anything other than crap) and picked up three 7" Big Black singles for a fiver. Stoked!

Recent ones:
An old dictaphone (with new batteries) sand three little cassettes for £3:00 An 1980's adhesive bus sign saying "Please State Your Destination" for 10p Two paintings of Atlantean Buses, £10 each (you probably have to like buses a lot to think that's a bargain) A painted wooden sign from a MAnchester bus depot saying "NO UNATHORISED PERSONS ALLOWED ON THESE PREMISES". The red and gold paint suggests it was to do with the North Western Bus company. That was £5 Some old postcards of St John Baptist Church in Chester, between 50p and £1:50 each An old, compact adjustable tripod for the camera. Lovely it is, really, and in the original case. Free, a gift from Tom who runs the ace house clearance shop at the top of the road.

I was at the record store looking through some boxes that had yet to be priced and I found this, on gatefold, vinyl, near mint condition, and when I asked the guy how much he wanted for it, he said $3.00
Cheap! I have been loking for a good copy of this forever. TRES HOMBRES - ZZ Top (their 3rd album, released the year I was born) Side A
[edit] Side B

Hit To Death In The Future Head for £3 from a CD fair. Distant Voices, Still Lives on DVD for £4 (usually goes for a lot more than that).
A haircut, three kippers and an exotic-looking plant, all for under £10 (Leeds Market). |
