i saw wolf eyes a few weeks ago and Mike was saying the promo copies were out in the next week or so. They played one song that was as intense as Stabbed in the Face but it went for 10 minutes. It was one of the best songs i've ever seen live.

one of the best live bands i've ever seen, although none of their albums i've heard (about 10 or so) really do much for me at all.

Yeah, it's on Sub Pop. It's only just now occurred to me how weird it really is that they put stuff out on there. Postal Service, Eugene Mirman, and Wolf Eyes...
Anyway, I listened to this because a lot of Wolf Eyes is really hit or miss with me and the stuff I like with them is a really small percentage of what they put out, but I definitely enjoyed this one. The first half is really subdued, eerie, avant jazzy horror movie stuff and then it gets to the real fist pounding death jams. But yeah, I'm happy I'll definitely be comfortalbe buying this one, and maybe if the play some of this stuff in October I'll have a better time when I see them. |

I love wolf eyes. They're so mellow.

New Wolf Eyes?
That's funny, because they release 600 things a year that sounds exactly the same. |

yeah, i found it strange that people would be excited for a new wolf eyes record considering how much stuff they put out.
