It would be awesome though this is a smaller profile show, as in not a big festival, right? I'd be surprised if we get another webcast then. |

We could settle for just a humble fan with a humble handheld recorder

Wow, that's great Pablo! Seems Lee was in a funny mood. How were they recieved?
Miss Pornstar: it is a "big festival" in Uruguayan proportions, which is a miniaturized and much closer (in relation to the band, because of stage distance and attendance) version of a normal one. |

Thank you. I did not mean to belittle Uruguay, far from it. (I actually thought this wasn't a festival but it seems I got that wrong). Plus, the smaller the shows the better, less distance to the band is a good thing. Enjoy!!! |

I'll try to “transcribe” the "atmosphere" at the lobby of the hotel. Once the Van arrived, the first that fell was Kim, then Thurston, Mark and Lee ... later Steve. I was lucky to have known before Lee, in Buenos Aires and in the U.S., so I knew it was difficult to meet him in a bad mood. He was very nice, so was Steve and Mark, Thurston was busy with the organizers who was giving the card rooms and other stuffs, then came and signed and we chat a few words. A different situation was with Kim, she was distant from the band in addition to being separated from the group, I asked her to sign me a Free Kitten album and take a picture, he was kind, but there wasn’t a smile... just an "Ok" & "that's Ok" ... It is evident that the group is tight in your situation ... unfortunately I think we are seeing the last shows of the group. I hope and wish be wrong... |

I challenge anyone to be cheery all the time after constant travelling. However, I (sadly) tend to agree in that it will be very difficult for the band to continue in the current circumstances.

Haha, thanks! And don't worry, I wasn't answering like that, sorry if it seemed. Uruguayans enjoy these characteristics a tiny country has. For example, there were a lot of unsold tickets for this date last week, and I don't think that changed in the past few days, which on the other hand is uncool for the band and event organizers. Now I'm hoping for an interview by the singer of the supporting band, La Hermana Menor, who is a well-known culture journalist in Montevideo. Wish we can share that stuff. |

They look quite "jetlagged" from those photos... that's a pretty long flight from NYC, over 10 hours? that could be a good reason for how they felt after just arriving to their destination... time will tell on the rest.

Hi friends...
In "hours" SY will be performing in this tiny country called Uruguay... I wish all of you could be here ... really... I will coming with my son of 9 yrs... I asked to Thurston play "100%" and he says "will see... this is a democracy...".. I really hope they could perform this song, its means a lot for me... and for this song my son is a SY's fan!... I can't promise that I'll recording the show in video, I will bring with me my digital recorder... so let me see if the tape is in a good quality later to share with you. Thank you for your support. Pablo. |

Hi all... its too late here... but I cant sleep before tell you this...
"this is a requested song from a boy that I met in the street......." 100% !!! The set list was very different to Buenos Aires, it was obvious I thought, they never came to UY... Let me check before the order of the songs, I send the list later. But, as a gift to my son, we can get the set list... and later I told to my son go to the hotel to wait for them... and well... they come... Sorry for the definition of the pics, it was with taken with the camera from my cell phone... my son with the entire band. And of course, the set list signed for all the band too... the name of my son is Juan, but Kim ask him about how to write it, and he says, "its the same as John in English", so you can see the sign of Kim with "John". https://picasaweb.google.com/1175967...CLvmu5vBgbzNcA# When Thurston saw me, the first thing he says was... "here is the guy who ask for 100% !!"... jejeje... the band was in very good mood. Sorry but its too late right now, so I promise the set list later (I took a pic from the set list, but there are missing songs, they made 2 encores). Cheers! |

That set-list gives me a boner. Hey, syouth69, ¿lograste grabar audio del concierto? Gracias por compartir las fotos a pesar de la calidad. Tu hijo luce extremadamente feliz y la banda también.
