I lost my copy of The Birthday Party's "Junkyard" some time ago (I still got the case but can't find the actual CD anymore). I still feel bad about losing it when I think about it. I lost my Joy Division documentary DVD around the same time but found it again a couple of months ago, woohoo!
So, have you ever lost a CD? Which one? Did you find it again? Or did you buy a new copy? yadayada, go!

None, actually. Of the ones that are relevant, at least. Maybe a couple over a decade ago, when friends forgot to return the shit they'd borrowed.
I hardly ever lend my albums to others, these days people just download shit, if they're interested. which is good for my records I suppose. |

I have a mate who's been getting Tago Mago back to me for about 5 years. Funnily enough, I've been saying the same about the copy of Tago Mago I borrowed off another mate for about 3 years.
The most annoying loss was Nurse With Wound's 'Salt'. That is, not the more generally-available 'Salt Marie Celeste' but a really limited run and a more spare mix that I've never seen since.

Buncha Hip Hop stuff, "Illmatic" stands out.
Also, my R.E.M. cd's I realized were missing when I got a random urge to hear them today.

I let a friend borrow my Blind Eye Sees All DVD and gave it back to me broken in half.
He said he would buy me a new one. Never did. |

I've lent many that have never been returned.
I thought I'd lost Two Nuns and a Pack Mule but it turned up last week. With a whole bagful of sorry excuses. |

You can have mine if you want. I'm not too worried about having it, prefer the vinyl version (the no times I listen to it a year).
