For those of you that like Merzbow, what's your favorite album/collaboration? Although I listen to 1930 the most, I prefer Pulse Demon. I can't say that that answer is definitive, because I haven't listened to everything he's released.
Another thing: Those of you who like Masonna, what's you favorite album of his? I'd say Ejaculation Generater is mine, because I can't fucking get tired of it. If you feel like it, compare and contrast the two artists, or if you don't, don't. Whatever. |

1930 is fucking sweet. But other than that...I've only listened to a few CD's off Merzbox and Brain Death Ticket was awesome as well as Marfan Syndrome.
And the collab with Richard Pinhas. The track Shibuya Aks....amazing. |

I only own a physical copy of Pulse Demon, and its a bit too much for me to be honest. Ive listened to a few others and the one i enjoyed most was Vibractance just cos it throbs a little bit more. I dont really like that vicious end of things that the most famous Japanese artists tend to trade in, and Merzbow is a bit stark from what ive listened to. Incapacitants are fun, and Government Alpha have done some stuff ive enjoyed, but theres something about Japanoise i dont think i "get"

Yes....it is. And I can't possibly thank you enough to include Shibuya Aks in the Merztape....seriously.....I must've listened to that tape SOOOOOOO fucking much solely to listen to that beautiful 20+ minute track which is so fucking astonishingly beautiful that I just don't want to listen to anything after that piece is played.... But yeah....as of right now. MY two favorite releases atm are 1930(STILL!!!!), this fucking album is fucking tits. The title track, degradation of tapes, and Iron, glass....blahsldhalshdhas are too good of tracks. Other than that....I've been on Kibbutz. gonna give it another go today after work |

Merzbow - I think the be all is Merzbear, but these are good:
-Merzbear -Pulse Demon -Liquid City -13 Japanese Birds series -Pornoise series -Merzbient As someone said on here before, theres alot of interesting variation in his material, not just strait harsh noise all the time. some drumming too and lots of "pulsing" hah Quote:

I downloaded Merzbeat, Merzbear, and a few others. I decided I admire Masami a whole lot, so deleted them and wanted own some his material. I bought Merzbeat first off, I like it a lot. When I heard the first pressing has hidden track Jack Danger's remix of Amlux, I had to have it first! Still haven't bought any other albums, but that's because I'm poor.
