from pitchfork:
Using last year's excellent I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass as a departure point (and really, what could sound more inviting than that?), Georgia, Ira, and James will bring tunes and tales from across their 23-year history to some rather intimate spaces as part of this trek. The dates are still trickling out, but as of now this thing looks to cover the Eastern half of the U.S., spanning most of October and creeping into November. Stay tuned as always for the latest. First, as you may know, the trio will play a few gigs abroad, including a performance of their score to Jean Painlevé's The Sounds of Science in London. The Freewheelin' Yo La Tengo: 09-09 London, England - Royal Festival Hall * 09-11 Paris, France - La Cigale 09-14 North Dorset, England - Larmer Tree Gardens (End of the Road Festival) 09-16 Austin, TX - Zilker Park (Austin City Limits Festival) 09-17 Austin, TX - The Parish 10-10 Bloomington, IN - Buskirk-Chumley Theater 10-11 Chicago, IL - Lakeshore Theater (two shows) 10-13 Grand Rapids, MI - Calvin College Fine Arts Center 10-19 Port Washington, NY - Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street 10-22 Philadelphia, PA - First Unitarian Church 10-23 Alexandria, VA - Birchmere 10-27 Mexico City, Mexico - Festival Manifest 2007 11-10 North Adams, MA - Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art so how many here have seen them live? share your experiences. Are they as good on record as live?better? Did anyone see them on the last tour?

I saw them on their last tour. They were amazing. I'll be at the San Francisco gig if they have one.
