I find Polk Audio are good quality monitors, & subs. I'm currently using, Monitor 40 (bookshelf), & PSW12 (sub).
& Polk usually has decent price ranges.

yamaha hs80m's very flat frequency response. i would stick away from buying a sub, unnecessary unless you are mixing for film or theatre.
and why do you want passive monitors in particular? |
