yes j mascis is god, thank you.
sugar kane solo is pretty skillfull though. dino jr- mountain man, freak scene, wagon, feel the pain. out there......... basically what you should say 'yeah man, j is the best guitarist ever!' henrix solos are pretty interesting, as well as neil youngs. mudhoneys/steves are pretty good but they just tush through them even though they are quite bluesy and awesome. john frusciante has special solos as well, like suck my kiss, what the hell? i couldnt learn that tapping part, its pretty easy though. |

yeah i forgot kracked!!! its such an awesome song.
greg ginns and dr knows (is that his name) solos are sick! the solo on search and destroy on raw power from the stooges is quite good, but i prefer the first record when ron asheton was the guitarist. |

Raw Power's guitar tones are vicious!! R. Asheton's my man though. He played bass on Raw Power.
After the Stooges Ron joined this group called Destroy All Monsters. Really interesting noisy dark shit |

The solo in Cut your Hair by Pavement is quite good too.
But yes, J Mascis is quite the fine guitarist As is Ginn (honorable mention goes to the solos in American Waste and Beat My Head Against the Wall)

Not essentially a solo, but the little riff in Pavement's 'Pueblo' is amazing. The solo that ends J Mascis' song 'Bobbin' is great too.

This statement might cause some disagreements, but I think Billy Corgan is a very underrated guitarist. Even for those who hat the SP have to admit he is very skilled.

Kim Thayil of Suundgarden on Like Suicide... and many other songs off superunknown. Also Josh Homme has had some good solos with Kyuss.
