For the time period or in my life?
Just about anything for the time period. Frank Sinatra does is like a motherfucker though. 1950s NYC. Nostalgic in my own life: The Doors (I'm talking hardcore nostalgia. As in, impossible to listen to 2 seconds without reminiscing) The Velvet Underground At The Drive-In certain Sonic Youth The Strokes Pixies (only Surfer Rosa and Doolittle)

For whenever or wherever you like. As long as the music connects with you in some way.

Smashing Pumpkins because I used to listen to them non-stop.
Also "Wonderwall" by Oasis, because it was on the radio all the time when I was younger. |

Listening to a certain collection of late 70's/80's Punk records bring back childhood memories of delving into the old mans record collection and hearing 'Orgasm Addict' for the first time.
