Anthony Braxton jamming some Coltrane. Totally ecstatic towards the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o0AYFRFX7g Derek Bailey doing some cool stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XE2N4mxeRw Sun Ra. Now THAT'S how you play a hammond organ. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SsBtfuSDxw Ornette Coleman playing w/ James "Blood" Ulmer et al. Starts out melodic enough but quickly descends into dissonance. Real tasty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na_3r_bf5gA Enjoy! |

There was a really neat Marshall Allen clip on youtube at one point but last time I looked for it, I couldn't find it.
Thanks for these though! |

the Derek Bailey & Ruins stuff is good, as is the Derek Bailey with Thurston...
I'm too busy getting great jazz videos off of dime to bother with tiny, blurry youtube flash crap. And the audio is even shittier than the video. Who fucking cares? I watched an svcd today from Berlin '65. It's a piano workshop that features musicians like Earl Hines, Teddy Wilson, Lennie Tristano, Bill Evans & Jaki Byard all taking turns at the grand pianos doing improvs, playing duets, etc. as the band plays. |
