Hi everyone. Hope all had a wonderful past ten days or so.
My trip was fun as fuck. We left Houston and picked up Donald Instigator in dallas, (from left to right. Jean I., Donald I., Willord I., my brother Xavier I., and Donald's lady Christa) then headed out on the road. we slept in nashville and then drove on through to glenmoore PA, about an hour west of philly. We stayed at the farmhouse my friend Claudio lives at with his lady. I have known him since 1982. we toured the farm, visited his lady's parent's house and checked out the massive barns! chock full o stuff! (That's Claudio in the gray T)

we checked out an apartment that Claudio and his lady had built for her grandpa, attached to the barn
That afternoon we drove into Philly and ate a cheesesteak

The next day we took the train into Philly. here is us at the train station
we then hopped on the $12 chinatown Philly to chinatown NYC bus this was the apartment we sublet for two nights, in Manhattan, on 91st street between 1st and 2nd avenue. (we paid $400 for two nights. to rent a 650 square foot apartment in this building was 1650 a month, a two bedroom 850 square foot apartment was 1900/month. damn!) it was a nice neighborhood. doormen everywhere. No A/C though! good thing it was 65 degrees!

Times Square was full of dorks.
we stayed that night, after going to the WTC area, and visiting Murray street and riding the subway I regret one thing. we were next to letterman's theatre and I did not make a stink about stopping by because everyone was tired, and I missed out on sonic youth!!!!!!! I had no idea they were gonna be on letterman! FUCK!@!!!! watched it in the room that night though. the next day we rode the chinatown NYC to chinatown Philly bus again, and then took the SEPTA train to Glenmoore the next morning we took off very early, drove 16 hours, got to Memphis only to fine 90% of the city in a black out due to crazy storms and shit, and had to sleep in a seedy super 8 motel.

we had 5 dudes in the rented van. we each put $100 cash in a till for gas, drove 1750 miles to philly and 1750 back. we ended up with $20 each after getting home, from the till.
gas was fairly the same everywhere. the most we paid was maybe 2.89/gallon in virginia.

we split a $90 room in memphis on the way thre, and a $75 room on the way back.
the place in NYc was $420 divided by 5. two nights, not bad at all! food in NYC is expensive as all fuck. a can of bumblebee tuna was $1.95 They are three for a dollar in Houston. my bro says the city "will rape your wallet dry." all in all, including gifts and subways and chinatown buses and cab fare and admission to museums and food, I spent around $450 for the 8 day trip.
