Here's the deal: I have grown up playing video games. I love all types of video games (maybe even a few selective racing and sports games), but I havent played barely any xbox 360. I have played a couple of games at friends houses, and i have played enough to know that it is completely different now. So I lost track of what is what in the video game world. I know that I want the following few:
Oblivion Fable 2 Fallout 3 Call of Duty 4 Halo 3 Force Unleashed Grand Theft Auto 4 Dead Rising Left for Dead In addition to any recommendations, if anyone is wanting to sell any xbox 360 games, let me know. Like I said, I love video games, and I can easily see my life becoming more electronic. Fuck school. Fuck work. I have already played Oblivion on a 32 inch+ HD Television, stoned, and listening to Trees Outside of the Academy. It was a good experience.

I say get Oblivion, let it eat your soul, and save the rest of the money for food.

I work at a restaurant where i have plenty of food, and make pretty good money, I dont pay rent, but I live with my dad who works for sysco. I am surrounded by food. Plus I dont eat much to begin with. mostly rice, pasta, salad, sandwiches, and sometimes chicken or fish. I dont eat too much red meat, but I do work in a steakhouse so I eat it from time to time.
I finished my first semester today. Well, this was my first semester in college for about 2 years. I decided to give it a second go. I took photography, computer concepts (which i actually got dropped from because it was an 8 am class and i went 1 time), american history (up until the radical reconstruction of the south), and health and fitness. I had 2 finals, and a term paper. I know I got 95%-100% on both of my finals, because I knew almost everything on the test. I received a 100% on my essay. Today was the history final, and my last final of the semester. Then I got a lotto ticket given to me purchased by the guy in front of me at the gas station right, while i was buying a pack of cigarettes after I finished smoking my last cigarette (I flip a lucky). I dont know. It was a good day for me today, the overall atmosphere was very very positive. Usually I hate decembers.

I also had a history final today, but ended up with a D in the class because the professors is a fucktard. One A per every 500-800 papers? Fuck that for a Gen Ed level course.
Oblivion is the shizz though. So much cool stuff to do, but it will eat you alive if you're not careful. Not as bad as Morrowind though, (which I highly recommend if the 360 is backwards compatible with vanilla X-box), get the Game of the Year Edition for like $20 at a game store and be prepared to lose yourself for several weeks because of the near limitless caves and dungeons and the lack of "fast travel" other than Silt Striders, Mage's Guild Teleport, or spells.

I brok the chain of destiny, or whatever several times, and eventually i could no longer play the game. I had like 20 saved files, and i accidently saved over the main one that wasnt a broken chain. It was so hard to see keep files seperate for me on that game. Oblivions game mechanics are so much more player-friendly and in depth. I appreciate the game on many levels.

Gears of War sucks.
Oblivion, Fallout 3, Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean: The Last Hope (when it comes out), Tales of Vesperia, Beautiful Katamari (since you can probably get it real cheap), Dead Rising seem like the games I would bother with. It's not a great system, but it does have a few more fun looking games than the other 2... |

get fallout before you get oblivion. it's basically the same game (same company), but fallout is far superior. oblivion was too open-ended for my tastes.
the new call of duty looks awesome. I played the open beta for a couple days and it was really fun (although not all that different from the last one). the force unleashed is a renter. you can finish in a couple of days easily. |

I don't know if they have it for XBox360 (they have it for PS3) but The Bourne Conspiracy is an awesome game.

I can't stop playing Fallout 3 - the other games that had me addicted were Orange Box and Mass Effect.
Oblivion was the first game I bought for the 360 and I was quite happy with it.

how far are you? I think I made it to level 16 before I went back to WoW. WoW has it's evil hooks deep in me right now. I'm not sure when I'll be able to go back to fallout. |

Level 19 - I'm looking for all the bobbleheads. I just found the Republic of Dave. I'm avoiding the main quest.

Fallout 3, GTA 4 (I never even liked the GTA series, but 4 is incredible), and Burnout: Paradise City if you like racing games.
Bioshock is awesome, but it gets boring and it's not too long. Condemned is good, too, for a while. Maybe a rental, though. |
