well well, back at work again. yesterday was crazy!
I woke up around 6:00am to the sound of a raging waterfall crashing into my roof. It was some heavy fucking rain. the only rain I can compare it to is the Allison rain. I got up showered, and looked outside and saw the park across the street flooded, the ditches running at full levels, everything soaked, and the rain not stopping. I look in my library and I have about 2 inches of water in there. FUCK! I called work and proceeded to wet vac the water out of there for a couple of hours. I got that done and then set up fans to dry the room, and then I got hi and then I fell asleep exhausted. fun times! then I got up around 3:40, got stizzy again and watched world cup

Yeah, till it starts to thunder and there's a chance you might get fried by lightning.

It's been light rain all day here. I find it most refreshing.

That's a lot. We never get the extremes of weather, just varying degrees of what's in between. I'd like to experience seriou weather though, as I'm a bit of a fan. All except hot weather, that is.

Oh to be in England. At least we only have to suffer the hot weather for about 2 weeks a year. Does MY head in indeed. Not too good for my sinuses either. |

Exactly. Summer seems to have ended already here - we had it last week. So all is well.

summer in england lasts about four hours. i do like the rain, but only in moderation. what really gets on my tits is when its neither raining or dry, just kinda drizzle which we get a lot of here.
berlin does not rain very much at all but when it does it really does. |

I wish some rain already. It's been about 79°F today here, or 26 °C.

jesus fuck I have so many books. the books are fine, I managed to put the expensive books, the art books and such, up (those are the heaviest and sit on the bottom of my bookshelves), but my 10 or so 7 foot tall bookshelves are gonna have water damage on the bottom, which hopefully will not make them worthless. fuck I love books.
I hate flooding. there is nothing one can do but get that wet-vac out. it is horrible. I was lcky though. people just a mile from me had 2 feet of water in their house. I live next to Hobby Airport and the entire surrounding area was so heavily flooded noone could get into the airport or out of it from around 5:00am to noon. the people working night shift had to work an extra 8 hours with half the terminals out of power.
