Those HBO Tenacious D episodes (co-written by David Cross) are some of the funniest television I have ever seen in my life. I enjoy them as much now as I did when I first saw them back in 2000. I will watch them til I die.

I saw them live opening for someone.. Shit. Was it Weezer? Tool? Either way, they were the best band on the bill. It was right around the 2001, when Weezer was rejuvenating their career with awfulness, and tool was the favorite band of an art student I was very interested in sleeping with. I thought it was going to be a comedy thing, but to my surprise, all these people got all quiet and serious when Tool played. They missed out. It was hilarious.
