Another day, another list.
Lee and Thurston coming in at a joint number 12 behind some pretty decent guitarists Ash Bowie, King Buzzo, etc. http://pigeonsandplanes.com/2013/03/...o-sonic-youth/ |

funny how Paul Leary didn't make that list
it's actually no surprise, just because he plays so fucked and sloppy |

Something she said to me last night
Something she said to me I saw the sun rise and come over my daddy's grave And I ate some cheese and rice today She's been talkin' behind my back again This time she is gonna bleed When I kick her in the teeth she goes out the door I just know she'll be back for more

Judah Bauer was a great call. You gotta see the Blues Explosion live to appreciate him.
Doug Martsch, Nels Cline and Sleater-Kinney seem like poor omissions. With SK, I love the way they put together dual guitar parts. Bob Mould looks a lot like Sigmund Freud these days. But Mould is a better guitarist.

i loved seeing POLVO on the list
i still rank that show in chicago from the 1st reunion tour in my top 5 ever but i am glad to see other bands finally get some recognition i usually hate seeing list like that because they are generally aweful and suck this one, uh-uh! |

Numerous indie guitarists are conspicuous by their absense. Julian Swales, Bernard Butler, John Squire, Nick McCabe and Ray Hanson to name but a few.

good list but seems to define indie as '99% likely to be derived from if not an active participant in american hardcore punk'. Nothing wrong with that, just gets my jingoistic hackles up a bit to see british players (other than the guy out of stereolab) not get a look in. S-K was a bad miss - supreme together but carrie brownstein is thee shit, one of the best riff writers this side of keith richards.
