are fucking great!
through the sun door is amazing, with the exception of plain gold ring. im not as keen on the split they did with america anolog set though. i think its just mira and some sleepy bloke. theres a new album coming out soon too......lets hope its a goodun. |

They opened for SY when I saw them in Cleveland a few years back. I wasn't incredibly amazed.

when you saw em, was it mira and one other guy? or a three piece band?
i saw them as the three piece a couple of times before i really knew or got into them and they didnt exactly blow me away....except for her voice. then after i got to love em, i went to a show and it was the new incarnation. not the same and not as good imo. through the sun door is a must though. |

I saw them open for SY as well, and they were pretty good. I wasn't real into it though because I was so excited about getting to see Sonic Youth for the first time.

I think it was a 3 piece. I remember she sounded to me like Nico with lung cancer. But she could have been on an off day. The guitarist was playing a tele and he used a drumstick with it on one song. |

I actually prefer 'Songs Of Hurt And Healing' (minus the American Analog Set songs) to 'Through The Sun Door'... I've been looking forward to their new album for ages...

i really liked through the sun door, but the only time i caught them live (as a duo) it was pretty disappointing. it thought they were stoned as fuck, but maybe the bloke was just sleepy indeed.
