The seed-bearing part of the plant. That's why tomato is really a fruit.

MANGOS RULE
therefore the poll was incomplete and chirimoyas ,though more delicious, are rather uneven in quality (and ultraexpensive in the u.s.-- but i digress) MANGOS WIN |

One of the particularly cool things about bananas (beyond the fact that Gwen Stefani can spell their name) is that if they go off they can still be used for making very tasty cakes.
Moist banana loaf, delicious warmed with butter INGREDIENTS 115 g butter 200 g white sugar 2 eggs 3 ripe bananas, mashed 250 g all-purpose flour 5 g baking soda 3 g baking powder 3 g salt 60 g chopped walnuts DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, stir in the mashed bananas. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Blend the banana mixture into the flour mixture; stirring just to combine. Fold in the nuts. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. |
