Or - a question about the song

hello various faces.

i just got back from my first sonic youth show. actually it was last friday - at the fillmore in SF - but you could say i'm just now coming to my senses. before they played Or, Thurston said something about a poet who (maybe) lived in CA and this was for him or about him? I couldn't hear him very well because of some drunk kids galloping around. Anyone know who he was referring to?

He was quite obviously referring to the great poet AssBlaster.
