Well I'm getting drunk while I'm listening to Bomb 20's ''Flip Burger or Die'', which samples speech in such a brilliantly humorous(maybe?) and at the same time sinister way, so I'll start with that. Public Enemy's ''Fear of a Black Planet'' is another genius example, to name another one. What do you say?

It's a dangerous game. PE are a good example of people whose vocal samples have been over-used to the point of non-existence. Which is a shame, as I imagine they (the samples) were brilliant at the time. It's like the songs that shouldn't be covered - no-one's getting any currency out of a MLK sample any more. A mate's band recently did the 'weird horror film' sample to crashing guitars thing in a song. Do not want.
Nothing positive to add, sorry.

The Holy Bible is replete with excellent spoken samples, especially the one at the start of "Yes"

King Midas Sound usually does well with it.

It's always kinda awesome, kinda creepy when watching a movie and suddenly you hear a sample you recognize from a song. I heard a Static-X sample in SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL O RAMA. I heard a SlipKnot sample in CARLITO'S WAY. Always neat/weird when that stuff happens, unless it's like Mortician and the entire song is a sample and the song is usually named after the movie it's stealing the sample from.
