I saw a reissue of PiL's Metal Box the other day on the 4Men with Beards label. 45 bucks! In the metal cannister and everything, just like the original.

Man, I was drooling. I just couldn't pull out the 45 bucks, though. It's weird. I can go in and drop 40-50 bucks on three or four new records, but I can't do the same thing for one deluxe release. It took me months to talk myself into buying the Goo Deluxe LP. There's just a psychological block.

And the other thing is, I've got Second Edition on vinyl.

That thing sure looks good on the shelf, though. Wonder how long it will be there.

45 bucks isn't that bad, really, but I know how it is when you already have the music; it's hard to convince yourself that it's worth it.
I know I've spent more than that on one LP in the past...

yeah, I spent something like 75 bucks on a really nice copy of an original pressing, numbered White Album on Apple, posters and pix complete, EX vinyl and cover. Even though I had two other copies from my youth and a more recent nice white vinyl German pressing.

This is a crazy obsession, this record collecting thing.

At the same place, I saw a new copy of OK Computer on vinyl for 25 bucks. Looks right pretty, but I've not listened to much Radiohead and I'm not sure I'd be much of a fan.
