When I was swimming daily (on my swim team), I'd have to get my ears cleaned out sometimes twice a year by a doctor. Something about being in the water made my ears turn up the wax producing like crazy. It was amazing after I'd get them cleaned out, because I felt like I had super-hearing.

When it's coming out of your nose, that's too much. But it does take care of the "smell bad" issue.

that was gross, zombie chick... see, how can someone leave that much wax in their ears? and wait for it to get dark and crusty? i think i listen to too much loud music for there to ever be that much buildup.

and i pick out my wax far too often for there to be that much.
