I just found out the drummer for Juan MacLean and Maserati, died early Sunday morning from injuries sustained in a five-storey fall inside a broken elevator shaft. He was only 34. Anyone else know about this?

He was also playing drums for !!!
I read that on Pitchfork: "According to the Post, Fuchs was attending a benefit party in Williamsburg when he and a friend became stuck in an elevator between floors. The two opened the elevator doors and attempted to jump across the elevator shaft to the nearest floor. The friend made it; Fuchs didn't."

sucks ass. He drummed for a long-time fave of mine, Turing Machine as well.

i got stuck in a lift today for about an hour, i wouldn't have risked my life to get out, i read my book and then had a snooze instead

yep. heard from a mate laat night...seemed they were stuck in a lift inbetween 2 floors and managed to get the doors opened and was ready to jump a couple of foot, no big deal , to get onto the landing.... jerrys coat caught on something and basically swung him under the lift and down the shaft..... terrible news indeed.i never met him but i believe he was a gentleman of the highest order........
