Well I went to pretty nasty comprehensive. lots of fights and bullying but never once saw a stabbing. A teacher got raped though. That was really heavy.

Damn. Maybe it's not more violent now, just has more media coverage. There were never stabbings at my schools. I remember seeing crime-scenes from stabbings at a nearby school, but that was an East L.A. suburb correctional school. Quite a different story.

I was talking to the daughter of a friend last night who told me that so many kids at her school now carry knives that she was thinking of carrying one herself. She was wearing a My Chemical Romance T Shirt. The day MCR fans start carrying knives is a sure sign that something, somewhere, has gone dramatically wrong.
