I wrote and recorded this rough version of a song tentatively called Dream last night and thought I'd share. I still need to work on the bassline and add vocals. Let me know what you think.

Get an Alesis drum machine, they have a crapload of bang for the buck!
I think your song would sound better if it had reverb. But then again, I put reverb on everything. I like how the way you used the flanging in that one section. It seems like you set it to be in time with the beat. |

It is in standard tuning. The main riff is pretty simple, relying alot on the open high strings: e---------0--------------0----------------- b-------0---0----------0--0---------------- g-----5------5-------2-----2--------------- d---7---------7----5--------5-------------- a------------------------------------------- e------------------------------------------- I usually avoid reverb - I tend to like a dry sound, but I'll test it with a little on the guitar to see what it's like. The flange is running always the same throughout the whole song, but it's way more noticible with chords/arpeggios. |
