What a great album! Ultra abrasive noises but in "electropop" songs, never heard something like that before. Must be my favorite Black Dice album. Kokomo and especially Roll Up are huge HITS, they should be better known.
Anyone else got it? |

Yeah, heard it when it leaked a couple months ago.
It's alright. I actually really dig most of Black Dice's output, but they seem to get worse with every record. "Manoman" is a really cool, inventive song. I'm surprised at how boring a lot of it is, though :/ Still, not a bad listen, just nothing to be excited about in my opinion. Better than the new Radiohead, at least. |

I feel exactly the inverse, I thought they were pretty boring moments on previous Black Dice albums, and on this one every track seem to really catch me - the fact that it's more a single compilation (every track here has already been released on singles/EPs) than an album maybe helps this. Don't know. It's better than the last Radiohead (even if I find it good =P) obviously, even if they're not at all the same style

Word.
I used to be really really into this band but they just kinda bored me with this new one. Weird. I listen to it and obviously it's good, but it just doesn't move me. Glad you dig it though. |

eric copeland's solo disc is way better than load blown ... really out there, almost in the vein of creature comforts which was their last best album

I dunno about Black Dice. I've always wanted to be into them but what I've heard hasn't really grabbed me. Maybe a bit too nice or something.
The first EP they did is amazing though but they sound like a completely different band.

They're always a good band but I prefer their older records. My favorite is Creature Comforts.
