Not a regular poster (one post in 18 months!), but I often notice the name when he's logged on, and, more importantly, I always like to draw attention to people who are older than me. So...

Sonic Youth's first fan:

They were rehearsing for Noise Fest upstairs from her, she knocked on the door to ask them to stop the racket, they invited her in for a cup of tea, and she's been a fan ever since.

I've always thought that knitting would be an enjoyable skill to have. I can sew, but very rarely do. I used to do my own alterations to clothes that I'd bought - these days I just buy the right size/style in the first place!
