I agree with the sentiment that Kim really outdid herself this record. I find my favorites on this record to be mostly Kim's. There's really only 1 song I didn't like which was Do You Believe In Rapture. Other than that, another job well done!!!

I downloaded the album almost right when it leaked, sue me, whatever, so ive listened to a few times, i hear alot of complaining about do you believe in rapture? which makes sense. When i heard it at first i was almost disgusted, but now its one of my favorite songs on the albums, the lyrics are not bad if you try to find some meaning in them. And I will buy the album on the first day it comes out, cant wait to hear these new songs live in Sacto, got tix yesterday.

i think the neutral is the weirdest one, theyre all good of course but all sort of short and to the point(maybe even too to the point sometimes)...I miss long experimental SY but se la ve.

That's my biggest disappointment--not enough Lee! The album's definitely their most devoid of noise...still wouldn't say it's pop though.

hmmm it's okay... reminds me of atl, some stuff could have been removed, but overall, it's good and I can dig it. which is what it's all about.
oh and like atl, kim's songs truly stand out, and lee's are too short. |

thnx for that. Rather Ripped is a back 2 basics album in terms of production and song writing. It sometimes has a pop-ish attitude but it always remains a sincere r'n'r album. Played live(Le Mouv)in France sounded closer to the overall sonik noise esthetics. it is definatelly a "special" allbum and a proof that the soniks can still write uplifting tunes with soul. I already have my favs and cant wait to buy it)

Is there any chance that the Helen Lundeburg & Eyeliner will become available for streaming?
