I listen to the Offspring + NOFX + Seether + 3 Days Grace all day at work since my fellow employees have horrible taste in music. So when I get home after 11 hours of working in a kitchen, plugging in SYR4 is the most refreshing thing in the world. What great formless music.
favorites: "having never written a note ..." - sounds kind of like the outro to Expressway, a very EVOL-y feel. both takes of "Six", - cool. +- = great percussion, perfect guitar. "Edges"- really heavy weird around the part where kims like 'it was no big deal," - spine tingly. |

it was like...new offspring...and man there was one song where I cant' believe the lead guitar part (which was essentially the hook of the song) made it to tape...absolute shit...
as for offspring..all of it is shit. I have an unhealthy addiction to SYR4 this week. |

yes, commercially it was the beginning of the end, but ixnay has their sharpest songwriting in their whole discography, and the fact that most songs didn't resort to novelty was something noteworthy.
if i was to listen to an offspring album, i would choose ixnay. still, that band was, since the beginning, always a singles band. |
