Here's a great video of Twig Harper interviewing Wolf Eyes (with Dilloway) plus a couple of live jams - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSpQNfyjbIw&t=1380s
John Olson talking about using his daughter's MRI sheet as a reed for his horn and then thinking he had poisoned himself is hilarious Also, Nate Young talks about his most influential records in a recent feature in The Quietus - https://thequietus.com/articles/2624...avourite-music |

According to Aaron Dilloway, Hanson Records is temporarily closing it’s doors:
Hanson Record Covid19 update: What a weird time we’re living in! So with the announcement that students at Oberlin College are being sent home, my own kids school is closing, and the fact that it it really just seems like the safest thing to do, I have decided to close the Hanson Records shop for the time being. Hopefully this won’t be too long. We will be maintaining our discogs and bandcamp pages for anyone who would like to still shop with us. As long as the post-office stays open, one of us will be going in and taking care of mail-order as needed. Robert and I run this shop out of our love for music and it will be sad to go some time without being able to talk with our friends and customers in person about music and art. Records are a very niche market, and we kinda scrape by as it is, with both of us also making recordings and playing concerts to help with our income. With concerts being cancelled and other uncertainties, this is gonna be quite a rough time for us and for all of our friends in the music industry… and every other industry really. I’m including links below to our shops online ordering catalog (discogs), as well our bandcamp pages and the shops instagram account (many of the records posted on instagram are still for sale!). Any support over these next few weeks will be greatly appreciated. If you can spare the money at this moment, we or any of our artist friends would be grateful for any support, but please only if you feel you can. Thanks everyone… stay safe! -Aaron Dilloway PS…some new Hanson releases coming VERY SOON! https://www.discogs.com/seller/Hanson_Records/profile https://hansonrecords.bandcamp.com/ https://robertturman.bandcamp.com/ https://aarondilloway.bandcamp.com/ https://www.instagram.com/hanson_records/ |

Yeah that podcast is a great listen.
Someone has uploaded this out of print Aaron Dilloway/John Wiese that was put out a few months ago, well worth checking out... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaI4hBSrgmc&t=480s And whilst we're on the topic - I've just found out about another collab of theirs from 2007, I had no idea about this. https://www.discogs.com/Dilloway-Wie...master/1669089 I visited Chislehurst Caves last year and even bought a poster of that demon they used for the sleeve art ha! |

The caves are series of interconnected man-made caverns dating back to the 13th century and situated on the outskirts of southeast London, towards Kent. I moved near the caves last year. Over the years they've been used as chalk and flint mines, the cultivation of mushrooms, an air raid shelter during the war and a music venue during the 60's - Bowie, Pink Floyd and Hendrix all played there. The labyrinthine tunnels (apparently 22 miles in total!) genuinely give off an unnerving atmosphere, I can see how they would feed into Dilloway's horror aesthetic. It would be good to know if the recordings were made in the caves (which I doubt) or if they were used as inspiration. I'll try and get more info. |
