Agreed.
His solo album "Baptism" on Tzadik.. it's just him and a guitar, no effects, usually no structure.. just strumming away.. it's fucking AMAZINGGGGGGGGG.

Uhhhh... Everything?
It's hard to describe. It's psychadelic at times, completely rocking at other times, with a really good sense of humor, lots of studio effects, lots of stellar playing, and it jumps genres a lot sometimes, sometimes it doesn't. Can't really explain it. "Avant-garde music" by SUPER talented people, and it never goes overboard with it's "Avant-gardeness" -- but when it does, it's done playfully. Oh, and a lot of their stuff is poppy, catchy as hell. But a lot of it is tribal. And a lot of it is cosmic. And it's all pretty complex. Except the really sparse stuff. And..
