"Industrial music for industrial people" by Eric Duboys is a new book on Throbbing Gristle. Released via Camion Blanc this month the book handles through 557 pages the history of the band that didn't exactly stop after 1981 when the group disbanded. Since the dissolution the 4 members of Throbbing Gristle (Genesis P-Orridge, Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Chris Carter) didn't stop exploring new musical territories via such famous acts as Psychic TV (the second band of P-Orridge), Coil (formed in 1983 by Christopherson and John Balance), Chris & Cosey. The reunion of the band since 2004 was therefore not really a surprise. The book is available |
