Haha... I've been to that site before, finding nobody. Good stuff!
As for Nickelback themselves... two of their songs get played over and over again on that Muzak nonsense in the restaurant I now work in. I literally heard both songs 6 times each when I worked an 8 hour shift Saturday. This week I have begun the practice of turning the volume in all of the rooms down to the lowest possible digit whenever they come on... needless to say, no one complains. |

wow long gone thread back in the name of Nickelback!!!
I can't believe how similar those songs are, I remember reading a quote from one of the band members defending the similarities. They probably brought in some sort of scientist to formulate potential hits or some shit. |

One time my mom was at a hotel and nickelback was their and she ended up having a drink next to them not knowing who they were, they told my mom who they were and that they were on tour here in Detroit, my mom told them she had a son who liked rock music, but she was pretty sure I didn't like them.

I know its a cliche but Nickelback are one of the worst bands in the world
Plus I will never forgive them for what they said about Radiohead.

Like in the glorious days of black flag, we should all spit on each other and then throw some punches!

Agreed. Shit bands aren't worth the strength that it takes to find a rock and then project it towards the stage.

Passive aggresive doesn't get the point across like good ol' aggressive.

It was in a interview with Ian Winwood a few years ago they got all pissed off and said "Do people in England even like Rock music?" and asserted that Radiohead were boring.

Back at the tail end of the 1980s, I used to go to the Reading Festival, and the throwing of bottles was regular entertainment. One time Meat Loaf was playing and got pissed off about the bottles being thrown at the stage, so he stormed off. Ten minutes later, he stomped back on and yelled into the mic, "Do you want to throw bottles, or do you want to rock and roll?". Well, the comedy gods must have been looking down on us that day, because just as he finished that sentence, a bottle arced up into the air from the crowd, reached its apex, sailed back down stagewards... and hit Mr Loaf square on the head. A truly magical moment

I think throwing bottles at a band is extremely rude (and dangerous) but the only way bands get away with it is to grin and bare it. Walking off makes you look like a jackarse. My Chemical Romance dealt with it well last year at reading.

Walking off is unjustifiable. What about the folk who actually want to see the band? Not to mention you're letting the fuckwits "win" their little lame war.
Apparently Silverchair during Freakshow used toy get alot of bottles etc thrown at them during a set - like every show in the states. The drummer actually had an idea of all three of them playing in plastic domes as a shield. haha. The frontman had to get stitches on a few occasions though.

I know, better to assult the audience with your shitty music than just give up and let 'em win!
