Hello friends
I'm going to NYC this coming Monday for a week. Would like to pack in as many quality gigs as poss. Where can I see a decent gig guide online or in print, for the 18th - 24th?? Any responses appreciated. |

it varies. The Stone is all ages where as Bowery Ballroom can be 18 or 21+. Some places like CBGB'S and the Knitting Factory are 16+ Most venues will card you but if yr up front about not drinking which is really their concern you'll usually get your hand x'd and let in. |

still, id say dont bother going to nyc before youre 21 unless you dont wanna go to any bars and dont mind getting turned down for some gigs.
from what i know, (which may be a lot less than simon as he's a nyorker) alot of places will not let you in unless you can prove youre over 21. maybe 50/50. maybe less id say. for full enjoyment of that amazing city, go when youre 21. |

I just found this site and it's great. it's a page for all the shows going on in nyc.
http://www.ohmyrockness.com/ Somehow Motley Crue and Aerosmith didn't make this list though |

hmm well i go on a thursday and come home on the monday so i only have a few days, i will end up just doing touristy things, seeing all the main buildings and shopping in all the main shops. i went last february but only for 2 days so i want to get a proper chance to go to some good record shops this time. |
