I saw the trailer at the theater (also?). I think Steve Coogan is absolutely one of the funniest humans alive (love him in Curb's "The Therapists"), but this looks beneath him.

It seems like the kind of movie some people would like and some would hate. Based on the trailer I think I'll hate it (if I see it, which I probably won't), but it's just not my kind of movie is all.

Skylar Astin and Phoebe Strole are both in Spring Awakening and they left the show for a month and a half to film this back in the fall. I am an intense Spring Awakening fan so I knew about the movie then, they told me about it. I think it looks hilarious.

Steve Coogan is amazing. I'm not too hyped about his film work (The Parole Officer was ok..) but the Alan Partridge and Saxondale series are immense.
There's an app on facebook that generates Alan Partridge quotes; "Do you know what this bathroom says to me? Aqua. Which is French for water. It’s like being inside an enormous Fox’s Glacier Mint. Which, again, to me is a bonus." |
