Don't know her. Didn't she do something with Kim Gordon?

I haven't actually seen any in real life as it were, but I've searched the web for it a few times. Occaisionally it's a little lightweight but I think much of it is nice and it can be quite impressive.
I'd like to see an Koether exhibition.

Oh! These ladies go way back to at least 2000.
http://www.rovetv.net/kg&jk-pix.html Some nice photo's of Thurston & Jim too. I see, that she was also exhibiting with Kim at the "Kim's Bedroom" exhibition. http://www.mu.nl/exhibitions/21-kims...m/kim-eng.html

I saw an article somewhere about some kind of disco-themed thing she did, with wall hangings and the like. I thought it a little bland, and certainly not as good as the other works I've seen. It sometimes seems to me that there are a number of 'fallback options' which an artists can use to pad out an exhibition. I like the stuff here though: http://www.artnet.com/magazine_pre20...lum11-3-97.asp. Ultimately it's all opinion and personal taste though, and as I said earlier I've never actually seen her work in a gallery for real, so it's possible I would feel different if I did.

I love the second picture in your first post. I tried clipping the face out to be a new avatar, but removed from the rest of the picture it looked not so good.
edit: I don't suppose you know the title of that piece?
