If you have macromedia flash, you can import the movie to the .FLA, and then save as... and select Gif

Clue me into the differences between the two. I just want clear images that move in a fairly realistic fashion. Here's an example of what I want: |

If you want to extract a piece from a movie you'll need film editing software like adobe primiere or final cut pro. If you want to do some sort of animation or a moving drawing like my avatar, the best you can use is photoshop to create it and then jump to adobe image ready, which is embedded. When using film software, cut the film strip at the begin and end points that you want and then render it in the .gif format. You should adjust the final settings of the film strip at 15 frames per second (standard gif frame rate). Any other questions, pm me.

Do you see that Austin Powers .gif? I'd love to do something like that. And I wish someone could explain to me how to make a .gif of a music video? |

I've explained it in my last post nomowish???
1. You need software to edit video (Adobe Premiere, Final cut pro, etc). 2. You trim it in the timeline from begin point to end point of the segment you want. 3. You export(render) it as a .gif (12 or 15 frames per second). Vuala! It's that simple, and you can do it with all video or animated material.

I use a program called unFREEZ. Free and easy to use, but doesn't produce the greatest quality stuff.
