i know it may sound very youngish and immature of me (maybe) and yes i am 20, but this is the first time i have been away for home for so long with the idea that i wont be going back any time soon
its only just hit me tonight after my mom sent a msg to say she loved me i often dreaded leaving home because i never wanted to leave my mom alone with just my dad, because he doesn't talk much and can be a downer and i was often there for my mom to relax and have pleasurable conversations with i hope she is doing alright i also miss the simple conversations with my brother and sitting up late with him watching silly things on t.v i understand it is time for me to leave the nest but i am human and i just feel a little sad tonight ignore this thread if you must, i jsut needed to write down my thoughts thanks

hey man, that is nothing to ashamed about. i was in prague last year for a stag weekend and on the saturday night i got very homesick, missing my 2 kidz and the wife a lot, drunkenly missing them granted but i rang em and stayed on the fone for nearly an hour.... and im 33! never be ashamed of missing the ones you love, it makes you human!

oh yeah, those magazines...
i still associate bright white plastic with early 90's facial massagers, foot massagers and anything else phallic shaped that vibrates. i can develop a considerable boner when some girl handles a wii mote next to their faces |

aww that's really sweet, I'm sure your mum and brother will be fine as long as you keep in contact, it's just going to be more of a conscious effort on your part to keep the relationships going now that you're away from them

Are you in jail? You'd really be homesick then.

It's understandable. Just take this time to fully appreciate and become friends with your parents and family. You'll begin to appreciate them on a whole other level. I did anyway. That's the plus of being homesick - think of it that way.
