Anyone know of a good place to download free karaoke tracks? I mean good tracks.
I found a Smiths karaoke set. The music is NOT the original, but what the hell. I have a blast singing along in the car, though the upper-register moaning kills my throat after awhile. Also found PDA by Interpol, which is really close the real version. Actually, it might be. (there's a "Slow hands" out there, but I say that song sux) So, another question: has anyone used any voice-remover program to make karaoke tracks? This shit is so much fun, I tell ya. |

I used a voice remover on the last Anthony and The Johnsons record to find out if I'd enjoy it more. True story.

I didn't know you could remove the voices on a track without having masters of it.

^ Where do you think Karaoke tracks come from? Some Karaoke company going through thousands of masters and removing the vocals?
Come to think of it, that's probably the best way, because from what I can tell, removing vocals via a program is not a perfect art. Some ghostly echo of the original persists. Still... |
