I pretty much think about NWW in the same vein as most of the people here. Interesting concepts and some quite out of this world sounds but do I enjoy listening to it? Not really... but I definitely admire NWW.

I'm tempted to come in to defend NWW, having started the slagging. He's alright at times, but often patchy. Homotopy for Marie, Soliloquy for Lilith, A Sucked Orange - worth checking out. I really like the original version of Salt (an earlier, superior version of 'Salt Marie Celeste') which is really hard to find now and annoyingly my copy got trod on with some broken glass when I lent it to someone, stupidly.

The most fucked-up music ever (that is still fun to listen to) is Runzelstirn and Gurgelstock.

I once got salt marie celeste from a guy I know because he had it double.
It's a great album but it's the only thing I really need to know about NWW |

Nurse with Wound has to be the most overrated noise artist/sound collage maker ever.
I think I've heard maybe ONE "song" of his that was sorta okay, but then at the end it sounded like decided to record himself taking a massive shit.

New Mahmoud Awad record is out somewhere on the net, it's called "Too Fast for Time".
Here's the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P38FE5UX (I don't think it's forbidden or something since I hardly doubt a CD or even a purchasable download is available) And if you missed his debut, "Sheikh to the Future": http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y1SP0KAP

(btw it's actually more than likely that Mahmoud Awad comes from /mu/ . Doesn't remove the awesomeness factor though)

most NWW (ditto that whole axis of groups like NWW, Coil, C93, Death in June) leaves me cold too although a friend of mine has a NWW record called brained by falling masonry that is actually quite good.
