So the more I listen to SY, the more I appreciate their varied styles over the years. It makes me wanna seek out similar stuff. So for instance, if I may ask, are there any kind of groups that make songs like Ciccone Youth's Macbeth (a strange start I know)...something with a hard-hitting beat and stoic noise-ness?

Merzbeat is definitely beat oriented Merz noise. May be a good start. Also, look into Ghoul Detail. More ambient-oriented than the Ciccone stuff, but no doubt noisy w/ occasional odd-ball beats. His "Strung Out in Skogar" is fantastic.
