I understand that industrial had been around for almost 10 years by the time it was released, but I haven't heard much of it and I was wondering if the industrial music on the White(y) album was different to the kind being produced at the time? Remember that Pretty Hate Machine came out a year after this. Have any industrial artists cited this album as an influence?

I think this discussion would be clearer if we identified specific tracks, rather than the album as a whole. There is definitely at least one song that sounds "industrial" to me, but I can't remember which one.

Macbeth? maybe?... there are one or two others that i can hear a remote relationship to say "Industrial" (god, i'm not a fan of that sorta stuff unless you consider Nurse With Wound as Industrial).

Macbeth is probably the most industrial one. And it's my favourite track from it.
