It's funny because it is my favorite albummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
It's the one that got me into them.
All the songs are pretty good, but I had to vote Mote.
True story:
The first time I heard it, I was on the school bus, and a Car hit a pothole right in front of our bus, flipped twice and landed right side up in a cornfield. The busdriver slammed on the breaks and everyone slammed into the seat in front of them. We watched the guy get out of the car, look around, and then just drive away.
Nuts.

I never really got into Mote that much, and same with the entire Daydream Nation album. I think that they're boith excellent and everybody loves them, but I think there's much better stuff by Sonic Youth. A lot of people agree that Daydream Nation is the best album of the 80's, and I think it's amazing, but albums like The Whitey Album can top it off. I always tried to get into Mote and DDN more, but I never seemed to get the hang of it as much as a lot of other SY CD's.

kool, kool thing....

it's too bad. kool thing is a kick-ass song. I'm guessing, by virtue of being in the same category of my friend goo, that people feel too "kool" to vote for the only song that really received mtv airplay just based on the fact. i myself did vote for titanium expose, but i just want to give kool thing its props. it was the song that got me to buy the album, which got me into the band.

Cinderella's Big Score - didnt like it at first but it is great now
