I haven’t listened to Weezer in ages. Wasn’t too much a fan of their stuff after Green.

Listened to Pinkerton again today. Don't want to be that guy, but it's a very teenage album, and I totally see how it'll piss off people who've moved past it. (I'm going to hate it in a few years, and the burnout won't help.)
I mean - yes, it's gross, sexist, et cetera, but a lot of the thoughts on are stuff I can really identify with, and that sucks. But it's well-written, and (at least AFAIK) Rivers hasn't tried to defend it. (And if you can tune out the lyrics, then the music rules.)

It's been my general perception that Weezer writes really well for persons in certain age ranges, so this isn't a complete surprise.

Pinkerton is basically "Why can't I get laid: the album"

I'd actively re-visit the album if I wasn't 36 and wanting to descend into extended self loathing..
