haha, amen. about 2 years ago i started collecting all his stuff, for a while i had everything, now i have 'beasts of no nation', 'black president', 'expensive shit/he miss road', 'zombie' and 'confusion'. my favorite will always be 'expensive shit'. by far the funkiest music ever heard by anyone, but at the same time, politically charged and angry. incendiary sounds, no question. the whole mystique around fela made him an absolutely fascinating performer. i know people who listen to hip hop, metal, punk. industrial, whatever, and they all at least appreciate fela.
