Ive been getting back into A Ghost Is Born lately and wanted to see what other people think of the band. A Ghost Is Born showed going out there and being more experimental while still having strong songwriting.I've been avoiding the new one though because of the press it's been getting.
I'll admit I dont know there early stuff much, I got into them how prob most people here did with "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot". That one remains my favorite but A Ghost Is Born really gives it a run for its money, love that "kidsmoke" song.

I went with A Ghost is Born. At Least That's What You Said has one of my favorite solos ever.

I'm going to have to go with Sky Blue Sky here. It's more refined, more Lennon-esque.

The three indispensable Wilco albums are Being There, Summerteeth, and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. I voted for YHF, but I love all of their albums.
Anybody want to hear my analysis of Hate It Here from Sky Blue Sky? |

I like the one where they do ten different cover versions of 4'33.

Imagine this in A: Maybe at the next level I'd put a little F neighbor in to give the E a little company. It can get lonely at the top. And an Eb between E and D too (a little guy just doing his part). |

"Kidsmoke" chorus reminds me The Hexx, by Pavement. |

The idea of Wilco being anything other than well mannered nonsense is scary. Weird? Noise? Eh?
