Co-creator of Swamp Thing and numerous horror related comic books and art has passed at age 90. He had a long collaboration with Stephen King, drawing the comic book adaptation of Creepshow, he did the images in The Stand as well as Cycle of the Werewolf and the illustrations in book 5 of The Dark Tower. He did some superhero comics for Marvel as well, but horror/dark fantasy art was where he shined. |

the first 10 issues of Swamp Thing are classics - back when corporations could put out interesting art...so he was in his mid40's when working on Swamp Thing.

he was 69. Chuck Berry was 90.

Bernie Wrightson's illustrated Frankenstein must have taken him a year to draw. My friend gave me that book a week after meeting Mr. Wrightson at a comic con a year ago. He was already frail.
