Lately I've been listening to lots of psychedelic 60's material.
Last night I was introduced to The Deep - AMAZING tracks and amazing lyrics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPKYLRSixS Share some of your favorites |

One of my old bands used to cover "Magic Potion." Great tune. Sun Dial did a great version too; can be found on the excellent "Return Journey" LP.

My parents had that in the cassette deck all the way to New Mexico when we moved there from MN in 1976. We were in my dad's customized Dodge Tradesman 200, which he had paneled in cedar wood (smelled great) with a bed in the back. He used to travel around the southwest an Mexico, living in it and making/selling leather purses, hats, etc.
Those Moody Blues LPs are cheesy, but I have a soft spot for them because of this. |
