I like me some Knob Creek bourbon and Jamesons' Irish whisky. Right now I am enjoying some Even Williams (my "budget bourbon").

My favs so far are probably Bushmills and Jameson, but I end up drinking a lot more Jack Daniels than anything. Or Grant's scotch.

funny story: one time at a party this guy got a bottle of maple syrup out of the fridge and told me and some friends it was Northern Comfort, that it was a maple alcohol. So we all do shots, and I'm like "no fucking way, this is just maple syrup" and the guy keeps insisting "no, it's northern comfort." That was a fun night |

Fuck all that get with some Single malts like Glenlivet 12, Glenmorangie 12, Balvenie 12, The Macallan 12 or 20 wich is my choice yet a bit expensive. For cheap bourbon go with Old Forrester that's good for cheap burbon if you want something to wreck a night train go with Ancient age it will destroy you. A good Irish whiskey try Red Breast Pot Still, very fucking good kicks Jamesons Irish in the ass. For a good cheap single malt if you can find it try Speyside it's less than 30 but good.

When I was younger I ran with Crown Royal, Wild Turkey 101 proof, Jim Beam black, Jack Daniels, Gentleman Jack. Far as scotch goes Disgruntled has a good list, I might add Isle of Jura, Oban and Glenfiddich. Bourbon wise I've had just about all the top mid and low end stuff, I mean I live in KY the birthplace of bourbon. My recommendations far as bourbon would be: Bookers, Blanton's,Four Roses small batch, Knob Creek,Makers,Bulleit, Old Forrester, Kentucky Tavern, the ;list going from high end to low end.
Right now my drink of choice is bourbon (specifically Bulleit) poured over the rocks, add some tonic and a lime, truly a spring and summer classic. |
