Music & Miracles Benefit Concert(Washington,D.C) Friends of the Orphans’ (www.friendsoftheorphans.org) is excited to announce our upcoming Music & Miracles: Hope for the Orphans Benefit Concert at Greenberg Theatre on Saturday, December 1, 2007. Enjoy inspirational music and hear the stories of hardship and miraculous transformation as former pequeños Marlon and Ismar Velasquez share their personal journey from tragedy to triumph. Music & Miracles will feature performances by: Steve Key and Company, Kim Gordon, Ensemble of Praise and Agape Christian Academy Children’s Choir. The event will also feature inspirational speakers Marlon Velasquez, current National Director of NPH Nicaragua, and Ismar Velasquez who is House Sub-Director at NPH Guatemala. Both Marlon and Ismar are former pequeños who grew up in NPH Honduras. Tickets are $10 each and can be reserved by contacting Friends of the Orphans at 703-848-2072. All proceeds from the Music & Miracles concert will benefit the children living in Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH), Spanish for Our Little Brothers & Sisters, orphanages located throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, supported by Friends of the Orphans. |
