seadrum/house of sun.

i was just listening to this boredoms album, and it is amazing, it is by far my favorite boredoms release. seadrum is just so beautiful and blissful, and house of sun is massive drone piece that will get you high just listening to it. So what do you guys think of it? i remember a lot of people being dissapointed when it first came out, and i don't know why.

people were pissed because it wasn't a brand new album, as grand as vision creation newsun and it was only two songs long.

still it's another genius recording, i love it so much too...i really can't pick a favorite boredoms release!!!!

and lent somebody my vision creation newsun and I WANT IT BACK!!!! I MISS IT SO FUCKING MUCH!!!!

this is how they recorded seadrum, yoshimi:“We set up our drums kits on wooden boards in the sand, and we didn’t stop playing until the tide came in and the drums started getting wet. Then we submerged a mic in the water to record the sound of the drums under the sea. We set up so many mics—there’s no way we could ever listen to all the tracks. But we ended up using the essence of that recording in “Seadrum.” pretty cool!
